5 IMPORTANT WEDDING PLANNING TIPS

1. DO NOT BE THE CONTACT PERSON ON YOUR OWN WEDDING DAY

On your wedding day you will not want your phone ringing from your vendors wanting to know where it was you wanted the photo booth set up or how many kids are at table 3 and 7.  This is one of the many perks of hiring a wedding coordinator.  If you don’t have a wedding coordinator, make sure to give your vendors  contact info who will have access to all details pertaining to your wedding.

2. DON’T MISS YOUR CEREMONY

Your ceremony is a very important part of your wedding day and I guarantee you will not remember it all, so if your budget doesn’t allow for a videographer to capture the special occasion, ask someone who will be attending to capture it for you.  There is also a wonderful company called Vanilla Video who can capture the raw footage for a very reasonable rate.

3. WHO CARES IF SOME GUESTS DON'T SHOW UP

As you look around the room, you may notice some empty chairs that you did not expect.  Don’t focus on those empty seats, but on the people that did make it to share in the celebration of you and your spouse.

4. STEP BACK AND TAKE IN THE VIEW

It is very easy to get wrapped up in the events of the day and conversations with your guests, but make sure you take some time during your reception to look in on your wedding as an outsider.  Take a mental picture of the room décor, your family and friends dancing and the guests having a good time.

5. THERE IS NEVER A PERFECT WEDDING

You try so hard over the course of your engagement to make every detail perfect.  It is now your wedding day and I ensure you that something will go wrong.  Staying positive and knowing you can’t control everything will make the day feel perfect to you and your spouse.
